The 2024 NFL offseason is about to pick up in a massive way.

The NFL's legal tampering period is set to begin Monday, March 11th at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, or what I like to call the opening day of free agency. With that just days away, our staff at A to Z Sports decided to predict the landing spot for many of the top free agents.

The Houston Texans shocked everyone last season, going from last in the AFC South in 2022 to first in 2023. The incredible work of first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie QB CJ Stroud played a key factor in their incredible season. Now that their foundation is solid, it's time to build around them. On offense, they need a consistent running game. And our staff at A to Z Sports gave them just that with star RB Saquon Barkley.

The Texans went into last season thinking they had a up and coming young RB in Dameon Pierce, but soon realized veteran Devon Singletary was a better option and benched Pierce. And while Singletary outplayed expectations last season, an upgrade at the spot is still needed.

Multiple outlets have connected Saquon Barkley to the Texans. In just 14 games last season, Barkley rushed for 962 yards and six touchdowns. He also added 41 catches for 280 yards and another four touchdowns.

Stroud was fantastic last season, and defense are going to do everything they can next season to make the Texans run the ball. So, if the Texans want to get the most out of Stroud, they need a RB ready to punish defenses when his number is called. And Barkley still has a lot of good years ahead of him at 27 years old.
