The Indianapolis Colts are still trying to win their first game of the 2024 season, with them starting the year 0-2 following their Week 2 loss against the Green Bay Packers.

Next up on the schedule, the Chicago Bears are coming to town. Ahead of the matchup, multiple people from Chicago have spoken about how impressive Colts quarterback Anthony Richarson's arm strength is.

One player from the Bears' defense even went as far as to say he hopes Richardson will direct those deep shots his way because he "wants a pick this week."

Jaquan Brisker is playing in his third NFL season since the Bears drafted him with the 48th pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He is one of the Bears' starting safeties and has his eyes on forcing a turnover against Richardson and the Colts' offense this week.

He has recorded one interception in both his first and second NFL season and is hoping to get on the board for his first of 2024. Richardson is coming off a three-interception outing against the Packers, and if he isn't careful, he could start the year with three straight games with at least one interception thrown.

The NFL as a whole has seen a pretty drastic drop off in terms of passing production. Not many QBs are taking an abundance of deep shots due to NFL defenses putting in extra effort to prevent explosive plays. So, I understand why Brisker hopes Richardson continues to be one of the outliers in this regard. So far this season, Richardson has led the NFL, with his average depth of target being 14 yards, second place being over two yards less, and Jacksonville Jaguars Trevor Lawerence's being 11.9 yards.

Richardson and the Colts offense want to attack defenses vertically, so Brisker is going to get his wish. But he might want to be careful about what he wishes for because he doesn't want to end up on Richardson's highlight tape, like Jimmy Ward in Week 1

Indianapolis Colts fans’ worst nightmare just might become a reality in Week 3

The Indianapolis Colts defensive struggles are likely going to get worse with the team placing star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on injured reserve.  This has led fans to question what the teams plan will be to replace Buckner's vital role. Defensive coordinator Gus Bradley's recent positive review about Taven Bryan could be leading to a […]
