Georgia TE Brock Bowers is one of the most talked about options for the Indianapolis Colts this draft cycle.

Bowers shared with me at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine that he has had a formal interview with the Colts.

Bowers also shared some details on the meeting with the Colts after I asked who was a part of that meeting. He shared that "everyone was in there." He elaborated on that statement by saying 15-20 people were in the room for the meeting.

When I heard that number range, I began to think about who could be a part of such a large group. Hearing Bowers say, "everyone was in there," makes me think general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen are locked. Then you go down the list of TE Coach Tom Manning, probably the area scout assigned to that area. But that leaves a large number of spots remaining. This tells me the Colts' interest in Bowers is more extensive than just the typical exploratory meetings at the combine.

Bowers also was asked his thoughts on Colts QB Anthony Richardson and the potential of teaming up with him at the pro level.

You can listen to Bowers' answer in the tweet above, but he had the following to say.

"I just remember him being a freak athlete, big dude fast. He was tough to bring down for our defense over there. He's a baller, so yeah, that's exciting."

The Colts had a young QB that rookie playmakers view as an exciting fit to pair up with again, which is a breath of fresh air. We will have to wait and see if Bowers makes it to the Colt's pick at 15 in the first round, but if he is on the board, I think he is a top name to watch for to be their selection.
