The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is underway, which means many of the best prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class are set to meet with teams.

And the Indianapolis Colts spent time with Florida State DT Braden Fiske.

Fiske began his college career at Western Michigan in 2019, where he spent four seasons before transferring to Florida State last season.

Braden Fiske's College Stats

  • 2019: 12 games, 24 total tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack
  • 2020: 6 games, 23 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks
  • 2021: 12 games, 42 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks
  • 2022: 12 games, 59 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 6 sacks
  • 2023: 13 games, 43 total tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 6 sacks

The Colts have some mystery surrounding their DT position for next season, with Grover Stewart set to hit free agency. And if he were to walk, I think DT could be a position they target early in this year's draft than many realize. Fiske isn't a clear fit for filling Stewart's role with the team, but he is a versatile defensive lineman who didn't move across the line much at Florida State; he spent 366 of his 444 snaps aligned over the B Gap. But it is an element of his game that many believe can be explored at the next level.
