Colts set to meet with BYU offensive tackle Caleb Etienne ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft

Caleb Ettienne is an offensive tackle prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft out of BYU. He began his college career at Oklahoma State before transferring to BYU after two years. During his four-year career, Ettienne allowed five sacks and 17 quarterback hits. He allowed a career-high three sacks in 2024 and tied his career-high by allowing 24 pressures. On the bright side, though, he wasn't credited with a single penalty last year. He earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors for his play on the field in 2024.
A big draw to Ettienne will be his massive size. He is listed as being over 6'9" and most recently weighed in at 330 lbs. It will be interesting if teams think he is a better fit at guard to better utilize his brute strength. He spent nearly all his time in college playing tackle, but he did make a start at right guard during the 2023 season at BYU, and he earned one of the highest PFF pass-blocking grades of his career with an 84.1.
The Colts lost two 2024 starters on their offensive line this offseason, with Ryan Kelly and Will Fries both signing with the Minnesota Vikings. So, the team certainly will need to add depth in the NFL Draft if they don't find any options in free agency. Ettienne would be a low-risk, high-reward type prospect if a team thinks they can help him develop into a starter with his massive size. He projects as a late day-three selection or possibly even a priority undrafted free agent.
