The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is behind us, and now the Indianapolis Colts will be focusing on pro days and in-person interviews as they try to finalize their draft board before April arrives.

The team typically uses their in-person visits to gather more information on prospects who are a bit more mysterious, rather than top names that fans may recognize. That is definitely the case with one prospect they are reportedly set to host in Miami of Ohio linebacker Jackson Kuwatch.

Miami (OH) LB Jackson Kuwatch’s college stats

  • Ohio State 2022: 3 games, 0 tackles
  • Miami (OH) 2023: 10 games, 5 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss
  • Miami (OH) 2024: 10 games, 9 total tackles
  • Miami (OH) 2025: 14 games, 109 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5 sacks

Colts set to host Miami of Ohio LB Jackson Kuwatch

Jackson Kuwatch began his collegiate career as a member of the prestigious Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022. He only appeared in three games and didn’t log a single stat. He later transferred in-state to attend Miami of Ohio, where he spent the final three years of his collegiate career.

There he appeared in 34 games and logged 123 total tackles, five sacks, and 11 tackles for loss. Nearly all of his production came this past year, though, where he set career highs across the board with 109 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and five sacks. 100% of his college sacks, 90.9% of his tackles for loss, and 88.6% of his total college production all occurred during his senior season.

Now he’s hoping to use it to catapult him into the NFL, a place the first three years of his college career did not project. The Colts have a major need at LB and need to turn over every stone in their pursuit to find production. Kuwatch is most likely to be a late draft pick or even a priority undrafted free agent. So this visit allows the Colts to get facetime with a player that could very well be treated like a free agent if he doesn’t hear his name called in the seven rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Kuwatch wasn’t invited to the scouting combine, but has still had a busy draft cycle so far. He participated in the Shrine Bowl and has already had his Pro Day with Miami (OH). There, he was able to show off some athletic testing, including an impressive 6.95-second three-cone, which would have been the second-best time by an LB at the combine. I entered his pro day numbers into A to Z Sports’ Athletic Composite. Below, you will see how he stacks up athletically.
