The 2023 NFL Draft has come and gone, and it's safe to say that the Indianapolis Colts have improved its roster. Especially at quarterback, where Anthony Richardson has provided a spark at the position.

Elsewhere, the Colts did a tremendous job of finding value and filling holes through the draft. Indianapolis added to its secondary in a big while also adding to the offensive side of the ball.

Now that the focus shifts away from the NFL Draft to next season, we have a roster projection for the Colts. Tough decisions will have to be made in the first season of the Shane Steichen era.

Quarterback (3)

In: Anthony Richardson, Gardner Minshew, Sam Ehlinger
Out: Nick Foles

The Skinny: Anthony Richardson is not only the future at quarterback, but he may be the present, too. The No. 4 overall selection headlines the position group, with Gardner Minshew coming over from the Philadelphia Eagles with head coach Shane Steichen. Sam Ehlinger rounds out the group.

Running Back

In: Jonathan Taylor, Zack Moss, Evan Hull, Deon Jackson
Out: Darrynton Evans, Jake Funk, Aaron Shampklin

The Skinny: Jonathan Taylor has to be chomping at the bit to get going in Steichen's run-heavy offense. Aside from the All-Pro, the Colts have Zack Moss and Deon Jackson backing up Taylor. Indianapolis added Evan Hull on the final day of the draft for a pass catching option out of the backfield.

Wide Receiver

In: Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce, Isaiah McKenzie, Joshua Downs, Ashton Dulin
Out: Mike Strachan, Malik Turner, Kristian Wilkerson,
Vyncint Smith, Michael Strachan, Ethan Fernea

The Skinny: The Colts need weapons for Anthony Richardson to succeed. Michael Pittman is the go-to guy out wide, with Alec Pierce prepping for his second season. Downs and McKenzie provide Indianapolis with a pair of exciting targets out of the slot.

Tight End

In: Mo Allie-Cox, Jelani Woods, Kylen Granson, Andrew Ogletree
Out: Will Mallory, Jalen Wydermyer, Pharaoh Brown, Nikola Kalinic

The Skinny: Tight end was not a need for the Colts, as Allie-Cox and Woods lead the way. Granson and Ogletree are quality backups. Rookie Will Mallory could challenge for a roster spot with a productive preseason.

Offensive Line

In: Bernhard Raimann, Braden Smith, Quenton Nelson, Will Fries, Ryan Kelly, Wesley French, Emil Ekiyor, Blake Freeland
Out: Jake Witt, Arlington Hambright, Jordan Murray, Carter O'Donnell, Dakoda Shepley, Danny Pinter

The Skinny: Nelson has proven himself to be one of the premier interior offensive linemen in the NFL. He needs to get back to that status after a down-year in 2022. Overall, the Colts are shifting to a new scheme and new offense and the trenches will determine how successful year-one is.

Defensive Line

In: DeForest Buckner, Samson Ebukam, Kwity Paye, Dayo Odeyingbo, Tyquan Lewis, Khalid Kareem, Grover Stewart, Taven Bryan, Eric Johnson, Adetomiwa Adebawore
Out: McTelvin Agim, Kameron Cline, Chris Williams

The Skinny: DeForest Buckner is one of the top interior defensive linemen in football. The Colts added Samson Ebukam, who comes over from the 49ers, to bolster the pass rush. Adetomiwa Adebawore fell into the team's lap on day three of the draft.

Linebacker

In: Shaquille Leonard, Zaire Franklin, E.J. Speed, JoJo Domann, Grant Stuard, Cameron McGrone
Out: Titus Leo, Segun Olubi, Forrest Rhyne

The Skinny: Shaq Leonard headlines the linebacker group in Indianapolis and is looking for a bounce back season in 2022. Overall, Indianapolis has a solid group at the second level of the defense.

Cornerback

In: Kenny Moore II, Isaiah Rodgers Sr., Dallis Flowers, Tony Brown, Julius Brents, Darius Rush
Out: Kevin Toliver, David Vereen, Darrell Baker Jr.,
Jaylon Jones

The Skinny: Indianapolis is not exactly loaded in the secondary, but Kenny Moore and Isaiah Rodgers provide necessary experience in the back end of the defense. Rookies Julius Brent and Darius Rush should play significant snaps right out of the gate.

Safety

In: Julian Blackmon, Rodney Thomas II, Nick Cross, Daniel Scott
Out: Henry Black,
Trevor Denbow

The Skinny: Blackmon and Cross are set for big roles in the secondary next season for the Colts. Rookie Daniel Scott has a real shot to make the roster, thanks in large part to his ability to contribute on special teams.

Special Teams

In: Matt Gay, Rigoberto Sanchez, Luke Rhoades

The Skinny: Indianapolis signed Matt Gay to a significant free agency deal in hopes of improving the kicking game in a big way.
