With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, the pressure is only rising for the Indianapolis Colts to land their franchise quarterback. Fortunately, there are as many as four quarterbacks that could be selected within the first 10 picks.

That means it is safe to assume that the Colts should be able to come away with a quarterback. However, Indianapolis sits at No. 4 overall and behind two other quarterback-needy teams, which complicates things.

At this moment, there does appear to be a clear favorite to be drafted by the Colts: Florida passer Anthony Richardson. Richardson has seen his stock rise since the NFL Scouting Combine, and his fit with the Colts makes sense.

Richardson has the third best odds to be the first quarterback drafted in April, behind CJ Stroud and Bryce Young, per DraftKings. Additionally, he has the best odds to be the third quarterback off the board – ahead of Will Levis and others.

Furthermore, Richardson is also the betting favorite to be the actual selection for the Colts. Which goes with the other betting trends involving the top signal callers in the draft.

It is easy to like Richardson and what he could bring to the table. For instance, the former Florida standout possesses a 6-4, 244-pound frame to go along with mind-boggling athletic traits.

Richardson is not a finished or polished product. However, that does not have to be a bad thing. In fact, that makes him even more of an intriguing prospect. Especially considering the role that head coach Shane Steichen had in Jalen Hurts' ascension last season.

The likely top-five selection can beat you with his rocket arm down the field in addition to his legs outside of the pocket. For a franchise looking for a spark behind center, Anthony Richardson makes a ton of sense for the Indianapolis Colts.

Of course, trends and betting odds can fluctuate between now and draft weekend. With that said, one favorite has emerged for the Colts.
