The latest NFL news will have a direct impact on the Indianapolis Colts for the 2023 season. That's because Doug Kyed of A to Z Sports is reporting that Pro Bowl wideout DeAndre Hopkins is set to sign with the Tennessee Titans.

Which means that the Colts will matchup with Titans twice in the upcoming season as he is now in the AFC South. For Hopkins, it's a return to the division in which he first starred in while with the Houston Texans.

Now, the Colts will be forced to game plan for an offense that features Hopkins in addition to running back Derrick Henry. Hopkins provides a boost to a Titans receiver corps that was lacking talent ahead of training camp.

Last season, Hopkins grabbed 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns while playing in nine games. He has missed several games of the last couple of years due to suspension or injuries, but Hopkins still has ability to make a difference in the passing game.

As for Indianapolis, Hopkins will provide a rebuilding Colts secondary with a big challenge early in the season when the two sides matchup in week five. The Colts will obviously be without projected starting defensive back Isaiah Rodgers.

There's a real possibility that the Colts will be relying on two of its rookie draft picks when they face Hopkins and the Titans. Second-round pick Julius Brents and day three selection Darius Rush both appear to be in position to be play big roles.

Indianapolis will play Hopkins and the Titans for the second time during the regular season in early December. Depending on how things shake out for both teams, that matchup could have some implications in the AFC South, one way or another.
