The Indianapolis Colts victory Monday has been followed up with some bad news on the injury front on Tuesday.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports that RB Jonathan Taylor suffered a thumb injury in Week 12.

Taylor is believed to have suffered the injury in the first half of the team's Week 12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He finished the game and had his best outing of the season, rushing for 91 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns.

The Colts and Taylor didn't find this injury until after the game, and now plan to evaluate the severity of this situation going forward. If Taylor does have to miss time, the team will turn to backup Zack Moss, who handled the starting duties early this season when Taylor was dealing with an ankle issue along with contract disputes.

Moss has rushed for 672 yards (10th in the NFL) and five touchdowns this season while also missing a gem himself. The Colts have a lot of faith in Moss and would likely look at him as their "bell-cow" back if Taylor has to miss extended time.
