Sep 24, 2023; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Indianapolis Colts place kicker Matt Gay (7) kicks a game-winning field goal in overtime against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Matt Gay was given the largest free-agency contract a kicker has ever received in NFL history this offseason by the Indianapolis Colts.

His performance in Week 3 once again made NFL history and earned every penny of that contract.

Matt Gay became the first NFL player ever to make four field goals from 50+ yards in the same game. The Colts needed all four of these to win this one as Gay connected on the final in overtime to seal the deal on the Colts win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Gay made all five of his field goal attempts on the day and almost certainly will be named the NFL's special teams player of the week after this performance. I hope for all of you reading that you had Matt Gay on your team in fantasy football this week, or at the very least, I hope you didn't have to face him.
