Anthony Richardson and Ryan Kelly are set to complete one of the final steps towards clearing the NFL's concussion protocol
Both are practicing today, according to Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen.
Both can now be cleared by a medical professional. I expect both to be cleared in the next 48 hours, allowing both to be active this Sunday for the team's Week 4 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.
Thursday Injury Report:
Full Practice:
- QB Anthony Richardson
- C Ryan Kelly
- CB Dallis Flowers
This is a big development for Kelly and Richardson's availability for this Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Both now enter the final step of the NFL's concussion protocol. CB Dallis Flowers also has stacked back-to-back full practices. His availability is big for the team whose CB room remains young and inexperienced if he were to be forced to miss this game.
Limited Participant:
- QB Sam Ehlinger
Ehlinger is a new member of the team's injury report with a right shoulder injury. Ehlinger is the team's emergency 3rd quarterback; if he can't go this Sunday, the team would likely not use that spot in his absence.
Did Not Practice:
- LG Quenton Nelson
- DT DeForest Buckner
For the second straight day, captains Nelson and Buckner were not able to practice. Both players have a history of practicing limited for the week and still sutiting up on game day. But still, it is something to monitor throughout the weekend.
