The 2023 NFL Draft is just a couple of days away, and there is still mystery about where the Indianapolis Colts will go. Quarterback will almost certainly be the pick. But which one?

As it stands now, Bryce Young is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall selection to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. After that, it's anybody's guess what will happen after that.

There seems to be a real chance that both the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals pass on a QB – if they don't trade out of the pick altogether to a team looking to jump the Colts. However, a recent NFL Draft trend suggests that likely won't happen.

In the last four drafts, there were no draft-night trades that included top-nine selections. Obviously, things can always change and that trend might be put to the test on Thursday night.

But, just one trade involving top-10 picks has happened this offseason. And that was when the Carolina Panthers moved up to No. 1 in March. Other than that, no team has jumped Indianapolis in search of a new signal caller.

Which bodes really well for the Colts. Things seem to be lining up to where Indianapolis will have at least two signal callers to choose from when they make their selection. And if the trend continues – and the Texans opt for defense – then as many as three would still be on the board.

There are mixed opinions surrounding the trio of CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis. All have their strengths that make them exciting prospects, and all have their weaknesses that could give teams pause when considering them.

Yet, there is no doubt that any of the three would provide hope and excitement for the Colts. Head coach Shane Steichen and general manager certainly have to have their fingers crossed about the trend continuing. Then, they'd have their pick of the litter.
