The 2023 Indianapolis Colts offense may have its ups and downs, but they are the only team in the NFL to accomplish a specific feat. 

The Colts are the only team in the NFL this season to score at least 20 points in every game through the first seven weeks. 

Colts scores this season: 

  • Week 1: 21 
  • Week 2: 20 
  • Week 3: 22 OT 
  • Week 4: 23 OT 
  • Week 5: 23 
  • Week 6: 20 
  • Week 7: 38

The Colts are tied for the fifth most points scored in the NFL this season, with the Kansas City Chiefs with 178 points scored. One of the teams ahead of them is the Buffalo Bills, who have already played their Week 8 matchup on Thursday Night Football. 

Most points scored in the NFL this season:

  1. Miami Dolphins: 240 points
  2. Buffalo Bills: 222 points (8 games) 
  3. San Francisco 49ers: 201 points
  4. Philadelphia Eagles: 186 points
  5. Indianapolis Colts & Kansas City Chiefs: 178 points

In year one, Colts head coach Shane Steichen has his team scoring among the heavyweights in the NFL. All the teams listed ahead of them or that they find themselves tied with are viewed as true Super Bowl contenders this season. This is even more impressive considering that the Colts have played most of this season with their backup QB in Gardner Minshew and have had constant shuffling on their offensive line due to injuries. 

The Colts have the worst record (3-4) among these teams so far this season, but Shane Steichen is already proving himself to be among the best in the NFL at managing an offense and getting the most out of the talent he has at his disposal.
