Jaylon Jones and Nick Cross receive performance-based pay from 2024

The NFL released the 25 players who received the largest performance-based pay bonus' for the 2024 season. The highest Colt on the list was corner Jaylon Jones, who is receiving $1,060,961, the second most in the NFL. The Colts drafted Jones with the 221st pick in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He's undoubtedly outplayed that draft spot, with him starting 10 games in 2023 and all 17 games in 2024 and recording two interceptions and 12 pass deflections.

Colts safety Nick Cross also made the list and was the seventh-highest earner, receiving just under a million at $979,597. The Colts drafted Cross in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. His career didn't get off to a hot start, as he only logged four starts over his first two seasons, but that changed in 2024. He started all 17 of the team's games and put up an impressive year with three interceptions, five pass deflections, one forced fumble, and 146 total tackles. His 146 tackles ranked ninth in the NFL and second on the Colts and was the second by any safety, only trailing Arizona Cardinals Budda Baker, who had 164.
