After a multiple-month standstill, the second-round draft pick market has picked up significantly over the last couple of days. And now, the Indianapolis Colts have joined in on the party.
With the news of the team officially signing their second-round pick, J.T. Tuimoloau, who has joined the rest of their 2025 draft class, who have signed their rookie deals and are now ready to go for training camp next week.
Former Ohio State star J.T. Tuimoloau inks his rookie contract with the Colts

The Colts drafted J.T. Tuimoloau with the 45th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after his successful college career at Ohio State. Tuimoloau remained unsigned up to this point due to an ongoing issue around the league after the Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns handed out the first and second ever fully guaranteed contracts for a second-round pick. As training camp approached, worry around the NFL was growing that we could see multiple second-round picks hold out at the start of training camp without a signed contract.
At this time, there are still multiple second-round picks that remain unsigned; however, fortunately for the Colts, this crisis has been averted. Tuimoloau is now ready to compete in training camp for a Colts defensive line that has high expectations. With a new defensive coordinator and scheme in place, it remains unclear who the starters will be. No matter who wins the starting jobs, though, the expected plan will be a deep rotation off the edge. With players expected to receive a large snap count, including Laiatu Latu, Kwity Paye, Samson Ebukam, Tyquan Lewis, and now J.T. Tuimoloau. The team spent the offseason upgrading their secondary, which struggled mightily in 2025, and if their moves work as they intended, it could be massive for their defensive line.
Indianapolis Colts star disrespected in recent NFL rankings that somehow have him as not a top 10 player at his position
Last year, Zaire Franklin entered the season with the most expectations and pressure he has had in his NFL career to date. With it being the first year in his career, he was asked to lead the Indianapolis Colts' LB room without Shaquille Leonard at his side. And despite some online criticism from fans, Franklin […]
Colts undrafted rookie has the chance to make the rest of the NFL regret passing on him by earning a roster spot in training camp
To say making an NFL roster is difficult would be an understatement, but it is truly an uphill battle for undrafted free agents or UDFAs. The Colts signed multiple UDFAs following the 2025 NFL Draft, but in all honesty, most seem to be entering training camp with their most likely role being on the practice squad. […]
