Against all odds, the Indianapolis Colts picked up the last-second win over the New England Patriots in Week 13 to improve to 6-7 on the year.

Ahead of this game, the Colts decided to start a player they signed off the streets to their practice squad, and it was a familiar face from their past: Mark Glowinski.

And in Week 13, his strong performance just might have earned him the right to be the team's starter for the remainder of the season.

Mark Glowinski shines in his return to the Colts starting lineup

On Saturday, the Colts announced that they were elevating Glowinski to the active roster for Week 13, and ahead of kickoff, it was announced that he was working with the starting offensive line during warm-ups. Glowinski, in fact, did make the start for the Colts at RG, replacing 2024 UDFA Dalton Tucker, who had struggled over the last couple of weeks.

Glowinski made an instant impact as the right side of the line looked drastically improved from weeks past. And that was with rookie Matt Goncalves manning the RT spot with Braden Smith out. According to PFF, he was the best Colts offensive lineman on the day, with an 81.3 offensive grade, the second highest of any offensive player on the team for Week 13. Richardson wasn't sacked on the day, and Glowinski graded out as the team's top run blocker on the offensive line, with PFF giving him an impressive 79.4 grade.

With the Colts on bye this week, they don't have to rush any roster moves quite yet. But I think it's pretty clear that Glowinski should be handed the starting RG job going forward. As a result, the team will need to add him to the active roster, which will mean waiving another player unless an unannounced injury lands someone on the IR to open up a roster spot.
