Colts sign a free agent to help a position of need
Colts sign former Chiefs corner
The Colts filled their open roster spot Thursday when they signed former Chiefs corner Chris Lammons.
Lammons is entering his sixth season in the NFL, where he has been a part of five NFL teams.
- 2018: Atlanta Falcons
- 2018: New Orleans Saints
- 2018-2019: Miami Dolphins
- 2019-2022: Kansas City Chiefs
- 2022: Cincinnati Bengals
Lammons signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 as an undrafted free agent though he never suited up for the team. His playing career has been with two teams, the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2019 he appeared in 12 games with the Dolphins, where he recorded one interception and three pass deflections. Then from 2020-2022, he appeared in 30 total games with the Kansas City Chiefs, where his role was mainly as a special teamer.
Lammons joins a Colts corner room that has multiple questions surrounding it entering training camp. He will now attempt to win one of the numerous corner jobs up for grabs, and his special teams experience gives him a solid shot at doing so.
