Colts sign Indianapolis legend at RB
University of Indianapolis’ Toriano Clinton signs with the Colts
With their top two running backs on the sideline, the Indianapolis Colts added free agent Toriano Clinton from the University of Indianapolis.
The Colts waived undrafted DT Jamal Woods to make room for this addition.
Clinton's career with the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds was beyond successful. He finished his career with the Greyhounds with his name all over the record books as he is the program's all-time leader in the following stats:
- Rushing Yards: 4,538 yards
- Rushing Touchdowns: 48 touchdowns
- Total Touchdowns: 55 Touchdowns
- Average Yards per Kick Return: 30.9 yards
As well as being 2nd all-time in the program's history with points scored with 330, only behind kicker Scott Miller.
Clinton also holds the programs season records for:
- Rushing Yards: 1,525 yards
- Average Yards per Rush: 8.82 on 83 attempts
- Average Yards per Game: 169.4 yards
- Average Yards per Kick Return: 37.9 yards
Clinton will now join the competition for a roster spot with a young Colts RB room with rookies Evan Hull and Zavier Scott, along with 3rd year-backs Jake Funk and Deon Jackson.
