Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen confirmed what many had feared earlier today.

When he shared with the media that TE Jelani Woods has had a setback during his recovery from a hamstring injury that landed him on the IR

The Colts had given very little update on TE Jelani Woods status after placing him on IR to begin the season. Woods has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined for all ten of the Colts regular season games so far. And now, with this news from Steichen, it seems that him missing the rest of his sophomore season is on the table. The part that makes this even worse is the report that this is the opposite hamstring that has sidelined him so far this season. This means both of his hamstrings are now bothering him, which sounds like a brutal recovery process.

Woods had a promising end to his rookie season, where he flashed what he could do when given the opportunity. Unfortunately, it is beginning to look like the team will have to wait till next season to see Woods on the field again. Hopefully, this extended time missed leads to him being able to get his hamstring back to 100% so it doesn't become something he is dealing with going forward.
