Before traveling home to Indy, the Colts hilariously trolled the Chargers after their dominant win in Week 7
Colts beat the Chargers in all three phases in Week 7, and before leaving Los Angeles they chose to troll them over social media as well.
The Indianapolis Colts dominated the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7 in a game where they led by three scores for most of the day. Now, they sit at 6-1 and will quickly move on to their preparation for Week 8 to take on their AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans. Before they do, the team felt the need to troll the Chargers in hilarious fashion one more time for the road.
Colts had the perfect response to the Chargers’ social media account after their Week 7 win
Before the game, the Chargers elected to don brand new yellow uniforms in Week 7 vs. the Colts. Ahead of the matchup, the team posted a picture of multiple players in the uniform with the caption “on our way to steal the moon.” For those who don’t know, this was referencing a quote from the movie “Despicable Me.” They likely chose to do this, thinking that the all-yellow uniforms made their players look similar to the iconic Minions from the film.
So, post-game, the Colts’ official X account elected to post a picture of the Minions’ boss, Gru, standing over them with a Colts cape added for dramatic effect. Many consider the Chargers’ social media among the best in the NFL.
And it isn’t often that another team can one-up them in the way the Colts did yesterday. However, it seems fitting that after the Colts dominated the Chargers on the field, they could also troll them online as one last “win,” as they head home to shift their focus to Week 8 and the Titans.
