The Indianapolis Colts have now lost three straight games and sit at 4-6 on the year after their Week 10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

In the last two weeks, the team's offense has had its worst performances of the season, even with the quarterback who supposedly gives them the best chance to win games.

The Colts need to admit they were wrong and bench Joe Flacco for Anthony Richardson before it's too late

Joe Flacco has started two games since the Colts made the controversial decision to bench Anthony Richardson. In those games, he now has six turnovers and has led two touchdown-scoring drives, with him throwing one touchdown. This is the quarterback, head coach Shane Steichen claims, "gives the team the best chance to win games." Flacco's play, on the other hand, has said the opposite.

The Colts offense looks worse than ever, and they don't even have the luxury of falling back on letting their second-year quarterback develop. This foolish decision has blown up in the Colts' face in a truly magnificent way. So now the question is, how long can the Colts let Flacco sink their offense before admitting they made a mistake? The answer should be for them to go back to Richardson for their Week 11 matchup against the New York Jets. But their run of poor decisions seems to point toward more coming.

Colts defense held Josh Allen and the Bills back as long as they could

Any three-game losing streak is going to hurt a team, their locker room, and the fans. But the way this defense has played in all three games makes it hurt even more. In Week 10, they gave up 30 total points, but if you put those on this defense, you are lying to yourself. The Colts forced Allen to throw two interceptions, but Flacco's three interceptions, one pick-six, one fumble lost, and taking a sack on 4th down killed any momentum the defense gained.

They held the Bills to just one field goal on drives that weren't coming off a Colts turnover in the first half. As the game went on, the Colts' offense continued to ask their defense to make plays. And while they slowed Josh Allen for a bit, he's simply too good to completely take out of a game. The Colts' offense and the coaching staff owe the defense a massive apology for this losing streak, plain and simple.

Colts fans are getting restless and filled the stadium with boos to show it

The Colts' decision to bench Richardson split the fan base into two camps: one side that agreed with the call and another that hated it. During the Colts' Week 10 loss to the Bills, the side that hated it seemed to dominate the stadium. Throughout the game, boos could be heard loudly due to the poor play by Flacco and the offense constantly letting down a very strong performance by the Colts' defense.

Nearly every offensive drive where Flacco was sent out on the field, boos could be heard. The only drives where it didn't seem noticeable were after the turnovers forced by the Colts' defense. And Flacco and the offense weren't able to do enough to silence the stadium of their own fans booing them, with him throwing three interceptions, losing a fumble, and taking a sack on a key fourth down.

As you read above, I believe the Colts need to give Richardson back the starting job. But it's much bigger than what I think should happen at this point. If the Colts continue to put Flacco on the field with him playing this poorly, they risk losing the fan base. This could result in Irsay being forced to move on from both Ballard and Steichen.
