A Colts rookie seems to have been demoted as he is a healthy scratch for the first time this season in Week 8
A look at who won’t be suiting up for the Colts and Titans in Week 8
Some may not think the Week 8 matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans will be competitive. The Colts have been one of the best in the league this season, and the Titans fall on the opposite end of those conversations.
To make it worse, the Titans will be without nearly all their top players. But this is a divisional matchup, and anything could happen.
Before this one kicks off, both teams release their inactives lists. The Titans are filled with key starters. At the same time, the Colts’ headliner is a rookie who seems to have been demoted, as he is a healthy scratch for the first time this season.
Colts Week 8 inactives
- Samson Ebukam, Edge
- DJ Giddens, RB
- Tyquan Lewis, Edge
- Reuben Lowery III, S
- Will Mallory, TE
- Chad Muma, LB
- Luke Tenuta, OT
Outside of players on IR, the Colts have gotten pretty healthy. The only player who plays a significant number of snaps every week who is missing today’s game with an injury is edge Samson Ebukam.
They get WRs Josh Downs and Ashton Dulin back. The highest addition to the inactives this week is rookie RB DJ Giddens. Giddens has seemed to drop on the depth chart as of late, as the Colts have given the backup RB snaps to Amert Abdullah, and with Tyler Goodson back, the rookie is inactive.
On a happier note, WR Adonai Mitchell is active despite the WR room being fully healthy. A promising sign for a young player who’s been in the dog house as of late.
Titans Week 8 inactives
- Calvin Ridley, WR
- Arden Key, Edge
- Blake Hance, OL
- Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
- Bryce Oliver, WR
- Jeffert Simmons, DT
