The Indianapolis Colts need to land their franchise quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft. With four potential top-10 prospects at the position, there is a very good chance that Indianapolis comes away happy on Thursday night.

In the meantime, buzz continues to indicate that the Colts favor one of the most polarizing prospects in the draft class: Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. Levis is largely viewed as a toolsy prospect that needs some development on the next level.

His highs are very high. Levis has the arm strength and athletic ability that jumps out on tape. He can make big throws and push the ball down the field. However, accuracy and decision making are two concerns heading into the NFL.

NFL Network analyst Peter Schrager is the latest in the media that suggests that is who the Colts have their eyes on. Schrager joined former Colts punter Pat McAfee's show to talk Levis and Indianapolis.

Schrager explains that the talk around the league is that Levis has fans inside the Colts' building. He notes that maybe that's because the expectation is for CJ Stroud to be off the board. But, there's interest in Levis nonetheless.

Levis has seen his odds to go first overall skyrocket leading up to the draft thanks to a bizarre report. Therefore, he may not even be available for Indianapolis to grab at No. 4 overall.

That said, the buzz is definitely real. ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller noted the interest that the Colts have in Levis in his latest mock draft. Where there's smoke, there's typically fire.

"The latest buzz around the NFL continues to focus on the Colts preferring Kentucky's Will Levis over Florida's Anthony Richardson due to his NFL-readiness and background in a pro-style offense," Miller wrote.

The answer to the speculation will be known when the Indianapolis Colts finally make their selection on Thursday evening in Kansas City. However, the buzz points to one specific player being the pick.
