The Indianapolis Colts fought hard and found a way to steal a win on the road vs. the Baltimore Ravens.

Behind the leg of Matt Gay, who had a historical afternoon.

Colts Offense:

The Colts were missing starting QB Anthony Richardson, and his ability to identify the blitz and evade defenders was missed in this one. Backup Gardner Minshew struggled at picking up blitzes throughout the game. But by leaning into Zack Moss and the run game, they found a way to keep themselves in this game. And set up kicker Matt Gay to drill 5 FGs on the day, including four from 50+ yards out and the game-winner in overtime.

Rookie head coach Shane Steichen is already showing himself to be a top-tier offensive mind in this league. With a backup, QB kept his offense afloat and called a fantastic game. The Colts now move to 2-1 on the season and sit alone at the top of the AFC South.

Colts Defense:

The Colts defense had the challenging task of facing Lamar Jackson today, and while the unit played well, Jackson had a productive day. Jackson ended the day completing 22 of his 31 pass attempts for 202 yards and added two touchdowns and 101 yards on the ground.

They were able to weather the storm and made huge stops when they needed it. And won the turnover battle thanks to fumbles forced by Taven Bryan and the rookie Julius Brents.
