If you live in the Indianapolis area, you probably have noticed the city is decked out ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble on Saturday.
Even people who didn't grow up fans of the WWE have most likely heard of the Royal Rumble. But if you happen to be reading this and have no idea what it is, I'll give you a quick rundown.
The Royal Rumble has 30 people enter a ring one at a time. Each person is eliminated by being thrown over the top ropes, and both feet touch thing the ground. This goes on until only one wrestler is remaining.
With the historic event in Indiana this year, it feels only right to add a Colts twist. If every single player currently under contract with the Colts entered a Royal Rumble, who would be the last Colt standing?
The top contenders to win currently on the Colts roster

Quenton Nelson
Quenton Nelson has made a living off of battling with massive defensive linemen. And his seven Pro Bowls and three all pros tell you just how great he's been in his career. So, it feels safe to say Nelson is a top contender.
DeForest Buckner
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is one of the most massive humans on the Colts roster. He possesses an elite combination of speed, strength, and killer instinct that has made him one of the best players at his position for quite some time now. This combination would likely make him a top contender to win the event.
Grover Stewart
One last big man because this list would need to be thrown in the trash if we didn't include Buckner's partner in crime at DT, Grover Stewart. Stewart is tasked with doing a lot of the dirty work on the Colts defensive line and has been one of the top run blockers in the NFL over the last couple of years. Stewart might not be agile as the rest of the men that made this list. But he would do everything in his power to prevent anyone from throwing him over the ropes, so good luck.
Michael Pittman Jr.
Michael Pittman Jr. has a significant size disadvantage to the others mentioned above him, but he has what the kids call "that dawg in him." PIttman Jr. has been involved in his fair share of scuffles over the years, both with opposing teams and his own teammates in training camp. If Pittman doesn't win, it won't be due to a lack of trying.
Kenny Moore II
Last up is Colts CB Kenny Moore II, who would have an even more significant size disadvantage. However, Moore has shown multiple times in his career that the bigger the ball carrier is, the harder he can make them fall. Moore II would have a significant speed advantage, and if you close your eyes, I'm sure you can imagine him taking on the persona of so many of the famous high flyers in the history of the WWE.
The winner of the Colts Royal Rumble

DeForest Buckner
While I think all five players above would have a fighting chance at winning the event, my winner pick would have to be DT DeForest Buckner. Buckner's 6'7 "frame and fantastic athleticism give him the best of both worlds. He would be able to treat most participants as he has treated so many guards and centers over the years.
The Indianapolis Colts had the best seat in the house to watch the star of Day 1 at the 2025 Senior Bowl
The 2025 NFL Senior Bowl kicked off Tuesday morning, and many of the Indianapolis Colts' top staff members are in attendance. Some that I spotted on the practice field include head coach Shane Steichen and assistant general manager Ed Dodds. They got to watch on as multiple NFL Draft prospects stole the show, but another […]
Former Indianapolis Colts head coach is making his return to the sideline by accepting a position in the NFL
A former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts is dusting off his clipboard and returning to the NFL. The Baltimore Ravens are hiring Chuck Pagano as their senior secondary coach. The Ravens are hiring former Colts head coach Chuch Pagano to their coaching staff Chuck Pagano was the Colts' head coach from 2012 to 2017. He […]
