The 2024 season hasn't gone how the Indianapolis Colts would have liked.

They were officially eliminated from this year's playoffs due to their devasting loss in Week 17 to the New York Giants.

Since that loss, morale around the team seems to be at an all-time low. So, they needed some good news right now, and the NFL sent some their way.

3 Colts players named to this year's NFL Pro Bowl roster

Three Colts players had their individual success rewarded by the NFL ahead of Week 18. Jonathan Taylor, Zaire Franklin, and Quenton Nelson were named to this year's Pro Bowl roster out of the AFC. This honor is something star running back and left guard Quenton Nelson have experienced before. But for linebacker Franklin, this is the first time of his career accomplishing this feat.

The Colts drafted Franklin in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He's gone from a special teams contributor to a defensive starter to a team captain and is now on pace to be the NFL's tackle leader for the 2024 season with one week remaining. Most players drafted in the seventh round have an uphill battle to make an NFL roster. So, no matter how you feel about Franklin and the Colts' defense this season, his rise to this point of his career is nothing short of astonishing.

On top of the Colts having three players selected for the Pro Bowl, they had two veteran players named alternates, with star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and starting center Ryan Kelly set to become Pro Bowlers if players drop out for injury or due to players having to opt out in order to play in this year's Super Bowl.
