With the Colts only electing to keep 4 WRs on their active 53-man roster, an elevation from the practice squad ahead of Week 1 was all but inevitable. The team elected to call up Juwann Winfree, who had a strong training camp with the team. He is a strong special teams player and has the ability to play in the slot as well as the outside at WR for the Colts if they need him tomorrow.

The team got RB Zack Moss back at practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. With his status still up in the air, a practice squad elevation at RB is a smart move by the team. Since if Moss isn't able to go, they would only have had 2 active RBs dressed for tomorrow with Deon Jackson and Evan Hull. With two backs on the team's practice squad, they elected to elevate Jake Funk, who had a strong preseason with the team, totaling two touchdowns.
