Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Mike Strachan (17) warms up before facing the Chicago Bears in an NFL preseason game Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Fan favorite Michael Strachan's Indianapolis Colts career may have come to an end Tuesday.

After the Colts announced his release from their practice squad and other moves.

Players joining the Colts Practice Squad:

Jack Anderson:

The Buffalo Bills drafted Jack Anderson in the 7th round of the 2021 NFL Draft. After not making the Bills roster, he would land with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021 with now Colts head coach Shane Steichen, who was his offensive coordinator. He was active for two games and even started one. Anderson spent last season with the New York Giants, where he dressed for twelve games and was the starter for two. He was waived by the Giants IR list with an injury settlement earlier this month.

Tyler Goodson:

Tyler Goodson is a 2nd year RB out of the University of Iowa. His final season at Iowa was the best of his collegiate career as he ran for 1,151 yards, six touchdowns, 247 yards receiving, and one touchdown. He signed with the Green Bay Packers after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He spent most of the season on the team's practice squad but was called up to their active roster for one game last season. He most recently spent training camp with the Packers before being waived with an injury designation on August 29th.

Jordan Murray:

Jordan Murray rejoins the Colts after spending most of training camp with the team, but at a different position than he has been signed today. Murray spent time with the Colts as an offensive tackle during training camp and on their practice squad last season. But he made the move to TE after landing with the Texans for most of the month of August. Murray seems to be sticking to that position change, as the Colts listed him as TE for their roster moves post today.

The end of Michael Strachan's time in Indianapolis:

Michael Strachan:

Michael Strachan, or Mike Strachan, was drafted by the Colts in the 7th round of the 2021 NFL Draft. After having a great training camp, he would make the team's opening roster and appear in 6 games his rookie season, where he totaled two receptions for 25 yards. This past season, he appeared in 13 games and total three receptions for 59 yards. This year, a nearly entirely new offensive staff was brought in for the Colts, which would lead to Strachan's chances of making the roster being more slim than years previous. They would end up waiving the WR, but he relanded on their practice squad. But now the team has released him entirely, which likely ends his time with the team for real this time.
