Rookie CB Julius Brents was the biggest shock of the Indianapolis Colts Week 1 inactive.

Who found himself as one of the team's seven inactive players ahead of their Week 1 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

At the time of the announcement, many thought the reason was due to the "personal reason" that led to Brents being absent from last Friday's practice.

But today, it was revealed to the media by head coach Shane Steichen that he was a healthy scratch because of a coaches' decision.

The Colts coaches not feeling comfortable with their 2nd round pick playing in a game is troublesome, to say the least, especially with how slim the team's CB room is at the moment. Hopefully, a full week of practice this week will lead to Brents making his season debut against the Houston Texans.

It also feels important to note that 7th-round pick Jaylon Jones was active on Sunday, which means the emergence of 7th round pick has now led the team to waive 5th-round pick Darius Rush and healthy scratch their 2nd-round pick Julius Brents. It seems safe to say the team's 3rd drafted corner has jumped both players drafted ahead of him in their coaches' eyes.
