Richardson completed the most passing attempts for a Colts rookie QB in his debut with 24. And also set the team's rookie debut record for completion percentage with 64.8%, surpassing Jack Trudeau.
Richardson surpassed Andrew Luck for the team's rookie debut completion total record. In his debut, Luck completed 23 passes on 45 attempts in 2012. Richardson was able to pass him today by completing 24 of his 37 passing attempts.
The previously held record for completion percentage in a rookie's starting debut was set by Jack Trudeau in 1986 when he completed 13 of his 22 passing attempts, which was 59%. Richardson surpassed that today by a healthy margin with his 64.9% completion rate and did so on a significant uptick in passing attempts than Trudeau with 37.
