The Indianapolis Colts didn't get the result they would have liked in their season opener today as they fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-21.

While the day had bright spots, the team's run game was nonexistent.

With no end in sight to the Colts and Jonathan Taylor's ongoing dispute, a move has to be made.

Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson was the Colts leading rusher in Week 1 with 40 yards. Richardson's 40 yards was more than all the team's RBs rushing totals combined (25 yards). The Colts 65 total rushing yards on the day was the 3rd lowest in the entire league so far through Week 1.

The team is hopeful that they will get Zack Moss back next week, which should help. But if Week 1 told us anything, it's that the Colts can not rely on Deon Jackson to play a significant role in the team's rushing attack. While acting as the starter today, Jackson rushed 13 times for 14 yards. This leads me to feel that rookie Evan Hull should jump him on the team depth chart behind Moss.

Over the past month, the Colts have been notability interested in the RB free agency market. The team extended an offer to Kareem Hunt and had former Jaguars RB James Robinson in for a workout. And Jackson's performance Sunday likely isn't going to stop the team from looking at other options in the future.
