The Indianapolis Colts' comeback fell just short in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
They had to play Week 5 without eight starters and likely lost up-and-coming right guard Will Fries to a major leg injury during the game.
It's impossible for them to get all of these players back in Week 6 for their matchup with the Tennessee Titans, But there are multiple players worth monitoring this week that could make their return to the field on Sunday.
Notable Colts injuries to monitor this week

Anthony Richardson
Anthony Richardson suffered a hip and oblique injury during the team's Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was able to participate in a limited capacity for all three practices last week. They didn't rule him out following Friday's practice by ruling him questionable but did downgrade him to doubtful on Saturday ahead of Week 5. Last week, it seemed like Richardson had an uphill battle to play, but that doesn't seem to be the case now. Unless there is a re-aggravation of the injury, I'd be shocked if Richardson wasn't ready to go against the Titans.
Jonathan Taylor
The Colts were without star RB Jonathan Taylor against the Jaguars after he suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 4. The team chose not to place him on the short-term injured reserve list, which means they believe he won't have to miss the minimum four games that the IR requires. He wasn't able to practice last week, so it's hard to gauge what his chances of playing in Week 6 are. Hopefully, he will be able to return to practice at some point because that's the first step. Once he can test the ankle, it'll give Taylor and the Colts a better idea of how long he is going to need before he can return to the field.
Ryan Kelly
Ryan Kelly missed his second straight game in Week 5 with a neck Injury. It feels like Kelly got closer this last week to returning but ultimately couldn't give it a go. He is a vet who the Colts have trusted to play even after a minimal week of practice multiple times in his career. So, I'd say as long as he can practice in a limited capacity this week, he will have a solid shot at returning in Week 6. But if he can't, the Colts have gotten solid play out of rookie Tanor Bortolini and would continue to start him while Kelly heals.
Kenny Moore II
Like Kelly, Kenny Moore II has missed the last two weeks with a hip injury. He wasn't able to practice at all last week and was ruled out following Friday's practice. So this makes me think he is similar to Taylor in that it doesn't feel like the Colts or Moore II will know if he can play until he can test it on the practice field. The Colts' secondary is being torched by opposing QBs, and they desperately need Moore back on the field. But we will have to wait and see how the week plays out.
Kwity Paye
Kwity Paye has also missed the last two weeks after he suffered a quadriceps injury in Week 3. Like Moore, he hasn't been able to practice since the injury. In Week 4, Paye's missing hurt, but at least the Colts had both Laiatu Latu and Tyquan Lewis to help fill the void, and they played well against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Week 5, they were without Lewis, who has since been placed on the IR, and the team's pass rush was near nonexistent. Getting Paye back on the field would be a big boost and help take some of the pressure off rookie Latu. And this week, they are going up against Titans QB Will Levis, who, when pressured he, has been known to make some boneheaded mistakes.
A home-grown, fan-favorite Colts player suffered a brutal injury during the final year of his rookie contract
The Indianapolis Colts fell short in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 37 to 34. They were already dealing with a ton of injuries on both sides of the ball and suffered another massive blow in Week 5, with starting right guard Will Fries being carted off the field with a […]
The Colts should reunite Anthony Richardson with a college teammate before the NFL trade deadline
The Indianapolis Colts sit at 2-2 on the year and have gotten solid production from multiple members of their young offense. They've seen Jonathan Taylor return to being an elite running back, and Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, and Josh Downs all have had stand-out performances in the wide receiver room. The team's tight end room, […]
