The Indianapolis Colts (7-5) will be on the road this week to take on the Cincinnati Bengals (6-6) for their Week 14 matchup.

After holding a walkthrough on Wednesday, their first practice of the week will occur on Thursday.

Yesterday's report was only an estimation, which makes today's injury report even more important. A player like CB Juju Brents, who has been sidelined for the past five weeks, needs to practice today if he wants to give him a chance to return this week. All eyes will also be on RT Braden Smith and LB EJ Speed to see if they can show progression on Thursday.

Thursday Injury Report:

Light Participant:

  • Juju Brents
  • DeForest Buckner
  • Tyquan Lewis
  • Ameer Speed

The return of CB Juju Brents could be upon us. The rookie CB returned to practice for the first time in five weeks. While he was only a light participant, this progression is still a massive development. We will have to wait and see what Friday's practice brings before knowing whether or not Brents has a shot to play this week, but his return seems sooner rather than later.

Did Not Practice:

  • Braden Smith
  • E.J. Speed
  • Jonathan Taylor

The Colts haven't ruled any players out for Week 14 yet, but the two who seem to be the most in danger are Braden Smith and Jonathan Taylor. Smith hasn't practiced this week after leaving Week 13 with a knee injury, and Taylor hasn't practiced since his thumb surgery after Week 11. Friday's injury report will give us designations for both players and currently, my intentions are leaning toward both being ruled out.
