The Indianapolis Colts (8-6) will have multiple key players to monitor during their practice week ahead of their Week 16 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons (6-8).

The Colts are coming off a Saturday game, which gives them one extra day of rest to prepare for their upcoming matchup, and that could just be pivotal for multiple player's potential availability.

The Colts will continue their trend of holding a walkthrough on Wednesday in place of a practice. This means the team's injury report will be a complete estimation of what a player's status would have been if there had been a practice. Players that it will be important to important to monitor this week for the Colts would be WR Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion), RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb), and Braden Smith (knee).

Wednesday Injury Report:

Did Not Practice:

  • Jack Anderson
  • Matt Gay
  • Zack Moss
  • Segun Olubi
  • Braden Smith

Could be a long week for RT Braden Smith yet again this week. Another notable name here though is kicker Matt Gay, who has caught some flack recently for his drop in accuracy as of late. If Gay is dealing with a hip injury that could explain the recent struggles. If Gay isnt able to practice this week, the Colts would need to make a move at kicker this week to prepare for his absence.

Limited Partipant:

  • Eric Johnson II
  • Michael Pittman Jr.

We knew Michael Pittman Jr. was going to be on the practice report all week as he is in the leagues concussion protocol. For him to start as a light partipant though is a good sign for his chances of clearing prior to Sundays game. The team feels good enough about where Pittman Jr. is to list him as this after their walk through. It'll be important that Pittman Jr. is able to practice with a non contact jersey tomorrow to give himself real chance.

Full Partipant:

  • Jonathan Taylor

The reports as of late suggested that Jonathan Taylor could be making his return this week, but to see him listed as a full participant by the team following their walkthrough is a significant development. If he is able to continue that into the teams two practice sessions we will likely see the Colts star RB make his return to the field.
