The Indianapolis Colts (8-7) are set to host the Las Vegas Raiders (7-8) for their Week 17 matchup.
Their walkthrough on Wednesday had multiple notable developments on their injury report that they hope to see carry over into practice on Thursday.
The team listing RT Braden Smith as a full participant after their walkthrough was a pleasant surprise. They will now hope to see Smith return to practice for the first time since his injury in Week 13. Having him for a matchup with a pass rusher of Maxx Crosby's caliber would be a massive boost. The other player the team hopes to have back this week is Michael Pittman Jr., who missed last week with a concussion. He will have to progress through the league's concussion protocol in order to be cleared.
Thursday Injury Report:
Did not practice:
- Cameron McGrone
- D.J. Montgomery
After both being estimated as "Did Not Practice" on Wednesday McGrone and Montgomery actually didn't practice today. They have one more opportunity to test their injuries out before Sunday's game tomorrow, but at the moment it's isnt looking good for either being active.
Light Partipant:
- Zack Moss
- Segun Olubi
Moss and Olubi were able to practice in a limited capacity today, which gives them a chance to play on Sunday. For the team to fell good about either being active you'd like to see them progress to full partipant's on Friday, but we've seen players be active by practicing less this year for sure.
Full Partipant:
- Jack Anderson
- Braden Smith
- Michael Pittman Jr.
- Ameer Speed
Smith practiced for the first time since Week 13 today and did so as a full partipant. And on top of that Pittman Jr. progressed to practicing without a red no contact jersey today. Things are starting to look good for both to return this week, which would be massive additions for the Colts offense, as they head into their final two games of the season, where they desperately need to win out for their playoff chances.
