Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts added their first win of the season, but it came at the cost of two starters leaving the game with concussions.
QB Anthony Richardson and C Ryan Kelly enter the week in the NFL's concussion protocol.
Steichen shared with the media before practice began that neither Richardson nor Kelly are ready to practice, which isn't quite a reason to panic yet for Colts fans. As long as Richardson and Kelly are able to practice tomorrow, they have time to clear the league's concussion protocol.
We will have to wait and see whether the team would elect to sit either of Richardson or Kelly even if they clear protocol, similar to what they did with Drew Ogletree last week.
Wednesday Practice Report:
Did Not Practice:
- Anthony Richardson
- Quenton Nelson
- Ryan Kelly
Nelson remains on the team's injury report for his toe injury that held him out for the majority of practice last week. When it came down to it, though, Nelson played in last week's game and played really well. So, at this time, I do not believe fans should panic about his availability.
Limited Participant:
- Kenny Moore II
- Grover Stewart
Two brand new additions to the Colts injury report are CB Kenny Moore II and DT Grover Stewart. It'll be interesting to learn tomorrow if these injuries occurred during practice today or if they were pre-planned to be limited participants going into today's practice by the team.
Two Indianapolis Colts earned a high honor with their Week 2 performances
Two Indianapolis Colts offensive linemen received the highest PFF grades for their respective positions.
