Michael Pittman Jr. has earned bragging rights over his WR coach and Colts legend Reggie Wayne
2024 hasnt gone as Michael Pittman Jr. or the Indianapolis Colts would have liked so far. He has been dealing with multiple injuries that have slowed down his production and forced him to miss a game. He was able to return to form in Week 12, putting up a strong outing in which he led the […]
2024 hasnt gone as Michael Pittman Jr. or the Indianapolis Colts would have liked so far. He has been dealing with multiple injuries that have slowed down his production and forced him to miss a game.
He was able to return to form in Week 12, putting up a strong outing in which he led the team with 96 yards and six catches despite the Colts' loss to the Detroit Lions.
But what's even more impressive is the pace at which he currently finds himself in comparison to the greatest wide receivers in the franchise's history.
Through their first five seasons, Michael Pittman Jr. only trails Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison in receptions and is fourth in yards. Both of which he is on a quicker pace than his current WR coach and Colts legend Reggie Wayne.
Pittman Jr. has 377 catches and 4,170 yards through the first five years of his career, with five games remaining in his fifth season. The only area he finds himself trailing Wayne in is touchdowns, where he only has 17, but Wayne has an impressive 28.
Another key part of this conversation that I think helps show how impressive the start to Pittman Jr.'s career has been is the QB situation he has been in. Since his rookie season, Pittman Jr. has had four different Week 1 starting QBs and even more overall in his career. Wayne had the luxury of playing with Peyton Manning for each of those five seasons. However, he did have to share targets with now Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison.
Anthony Richardson’s stat line hardly ever tells the full story and in the Colts’ Week 12 loss to the Lions it flat out lies
The Indianapolis Colts sit at 5-7 after their Week 12 loss to the Detroit Lions. As usual, some online took the time to point out Anthony Richardson's lackluster stat line as a reason for the outcome in Week 12. Richardson's stat line hardly ever tells the full truth, but his performance in Week 12 is […]
Colts impressive rookie Tanor Bortolini gets news he didn’t want to hear ahead of Week 13 vs. the Patriots
The Indianapolis Colts offensive line was constantly beaten up by the Detroit Lions front in Week 12, and it was a major factor in their loss. One of the best performers on their line was rookie center Tanor Bortolini. He has played great in relief for Ryan Kelly, who has had to miss multiple games this […]
