The Indianapolis Colts weren't able to walk out of Week 1 with the win, but they still had multiple players kick off the 2024 season with incredible performances.

Two of their starters were recognized for their individual play in Week 1, by being named to Pro Football Focus' Week 1 Team of the Week.

Alec Pierce

Alec Pierce had a career day in Week 1. The Colts wide receiver set his career high with 125 receiving yards on three catches, and of course, his touchdown catch was one of, if not the single best play from Week 1 of the NFL slate

Pierce landed the flex position on PFF's Week 1 Team of the Week. He was joined by two other WRs, Green Bay Packers Jayden Reed and Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill. Pierce earned an 85.4 offensive grade from PFF, which was the fifth highest grade by any WR, one of those higher being fellow Colts WR Ashton Dulin, who earned an 86.1. Pierce also earned an 88.4 receiving grade, which was the third-highest grade in that category.

Will Fries

Joining Pierce on the list is Colts starting right guard Will Fries. Fries only allowed one pressure during the team's Week 1 loss to the Texans. His overall play landed him a 93.0 offensive grade from PFF, the second-highest rating for any offensive lineman only behind Seattle Seahawks tackle Charles Cross. Fries also graded out as the third-best run blocker from Week 1 with a 91.7, only trailing Cross and Packers tackle Zach Tom.
