Star pass catchers headline the inactive list for both the Colts and Bills Week 10 matchup
The Indianapolis Colts are looking to bounce back in Week 10 after a disappointing performance on national television in Week 9 vs. the Minnesota Vikings. The Indianapolis Colts are looking to bounce back in Week 10 after a disappointing performance on national television in Week 9 vs. the Minnesota Vikings.
The Colts and Buffalo Bills will be missing their star wide receivers, which will increase the playing time for some younger players.
But even without Michael Pittman Jr., the Colts have to find a way to win this game if they are going to make some noise down the stretch and fulfill their goal of making the playoffs.
Colts Week 10 inactives
The Colts ruled Pittman Jr. out following Friday's practice, so there aren't really any major surprises here. I will say, with Pittman Jr. out, I'm a little bit shocked that rookie Anthony Gould didn't get to at least be active for Week 10. The speedy wide receiver struggled as a returner early this season, which led the team to make him a healthy scratch for the majority of the season to date. But without Pittman Jr. finding a way to use him and Downs on the field at the same time, it would have made life difficult for the Bills defense. Instead, the team elected to elevate a preseason standout in veteran Laquon Treadwell.
Bills Week 10 inactives
The Bills will be without two of their top three wide receivers in this game. Rookie Keon Coleman and their big trade addition Amari Cooper are both inactive for Week 10. Khalil Shakir is the only starter in that room who will be active today. To adjust their game plan, expect Josh Allen to lean heavily on Shakir and second-year tight end Dalton Kincaid today in the passing game. I also think we will see them give running back James Cook a larger workload than usual.
The outcome of the Colts Week 10 matchup with the Bills will have a massive impact on the rest of their season
The phrase "must-win game" is thrown around a lot, and most of the time, I'd say people use it too lightly. But the Indianapolis Colts' Week 10 matchup against the Buffalo Bills seems quite literally like a must-win game. The NFL quieted anyone questioning a big play by the Colts during their Week 9 loss to the Vikings
The Indianapolis Colts' awful offensive outing led to a Week 9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Their only touchdown on the day, in fact, came from an incredible play by defensive tackle Grover Stewart's strip-sack, which the Colts returned to the house. But many around the league complained that Stewart made contact with Darnold's helmet and […]
