If fans of the Indianapolis Colts had to describe this season, I'm sure a popular answer would be "disappointing."

It required overtime, but the Colts ended the year with a win. As they improve to 8- 9, the clock starts on what may be an eventful offseason for the Colts.

Colts fans booed the team throughout their Week 18 win

It was a fairly empty Lucas Oil Stadium for the Colts 2024 season finale in Week 18. Multiple things played into this, one being the game having no real value due to both teams being eliminated from playoff contention. Another being Indianapolis and nearby areas dealing with severe winter weather.

Even with an abundance of empty seats, fans still could be heard throughout the game. Unfortunately for the team, though, the noise that could be heard was the stadium booing the home team. Fans were also consistent in their efforts, with them booing all three phases: offense, defense, and special teams. A notable chant that was heard during the game was when fans said, "Fire Chris Ballard."

It's decision time in Indianapolis for Jim Irsay

Everyone has been wondering what yet another season without a playoff appearance will mean for the future of the Colts. After weeks of discussing what might happen, the time has now come for owner Jim Irsay to make those decisions.

The fan base seems pretty split on whether or not head coach Shane Steichen should be back in 2025, but it feels like the consensus wants GM Chris Ballard fired. It's been eight seasons for Chris Ballard, and his teams have only made two playoff appearances and won zero division titles. Will he get a ninth try at it, or is this the end of the road?
