The Colts drafted CB Micah Abraham with the 201st pick in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. His best trait during his college career was his playmaking ability. He recorded 12 interceptions and 43 pass deflections during his five seasons at Marshall. His coverage ability flashed with multiple solid reps throughout the preseason opener. But his biggest and team's biggest play of the day came when he stripped and recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown in the third quarter.

This impressive play is just what the doctor ordered for a player like Abraham, who is currently battling for a roster spot with the Colts. His ability to make plays around the ball in college got him drafted, but showing flashes of doing it on an NFL field like this could go a long way toward earning one of the 53 roster spots on the team. He must show that this solid performance wasn't just a one-week wonder. He needs to aggressively attack the next week of training camp and show up to play again when the Colts take on the Arizona Cardinals for their second preseason game next Saturday.
