The Indianapolis Colts won't be playing today in the Super Bowl.
The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are set to square off to be crowned the winners of Super Bowl LIX. No matter who wins, though, some notable former Colts will get a ring this year.
Former Colts on the Eagles

- Isaiah Rodgers Sr., CB
- Parris Campbell, WR
The most notable former Colts player with the Eagles is corner Isaiah Rodgers. The Colts drafted Rodgers in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He quickly carved out a role on special teams and earned more time on defense over the years. He became a major fan favorite in Indianapolis, but his time with the team came to an end after a gambling scandal landed him suspended by the NFL and later released by the team. He has been able to move past that mistake, though, and has appeared in 15 games for the Eagles this season and will dress for the Super Bowl.
Former Colts on the Chiefs

- Carson Wentz, QB
- Spencer Shrader, K
The most notable Chiefs player who formerly played for the Colts is quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz was the Colts' starting QB in 2021 after the team traded for the former Eagles QB. He had an up-and-down season in Indianapolis that ended with them losing out on the playoffs after a disastrous final-week loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were the worst team in the league that season. He is now Patrick Mahomes' backup in Kansas City. He appeared in three games this year and made one start in place of Mahomes.

Longtime fans of the Indianapolis Colts may feel some deja vu watching the Buffalo Bills' heartbreaking losses in the playoffs in recent years to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. That is because they still remember the feeling of being unable to get past Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Colts legendary center Jeff […]
Former Colts coach has landed on his feet with a new coaching position in the NFL thanks to a strong relationship from his past
It didn't take too long for a former Indianapolis Colts coach to land on his feet. Although the Colts and defensive coordinator Gus Bradley parted ways this offseason, he will remain in the league in 2025 and will join Robert Saleh's defensive staff with the San Francisco 49ers. Former Colts DC Gus Bradley lands a job […]
