The Indianapolis Colts made a solid move to keep one of their own on Tuesday night. They retained the services of safety Julian Blackmon with a one year deal.

Retaining Blackmon was a big deal for the Colts. He was one of the leagues top remaining free agents in a deep safety class. The cost of the deal has not yet dropped, but the with a one year deal, the Colts have put themselves in a situation where they can now have Blackmon in house to talk over a long term deal while also not worrying about having to do that and bring in new players at the same time.

His Colts teammates Zaire Franklin and Kenny Moore are very excited about having him back.
