The Indianapolis Colts improved to 3-0 after a big win in Week 3 over their AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans. To make it even better, they did it convincingly, putting up 41 points to win by three scores.

The Colts’ confidence in the matchup began even before the opening kickoff. As Colts star WR Michael Pittman Jr. shared, pregame warm-ups told the team a lot more than many realize.

Michael Pittman Jr. didn’t hold back in his criticism of the Titans following the Colts’ Week 3 win

Pittman Jr. shared that during pregame warm-ups, the Colts noticed the Titans “kinda looked sluggish.” He elaborated more on the subject by saying, “They were kinda walking around, nobody was really bouncing.” Because of this, Pittman knew Sunday would be a good one for the Colts, because in his mind, “They (The Titans) don’t want to play today.”

It’s hard to argue with Pittman’s point after how the game turned out. The Colts won 41-20 in a game that they never trailed. You don’t see divisional matchups end up being blowouts often, so even if the Titans appear to be one of the worst teams in the league this season, the Colts deserve a lot of credit for their strong performance in Week 3.

When you already lack talent at multiple positions like the Titans, you can’t lack effort. And Sunday, it was evident that too many players on the field were not committed to winning this football game.

That is an indication of poor coaching but also of a locker room that lacks mature leadership from its veterans. In Week 3, the Colts used it to their advantage and picked up their first AFC South win of the year, improving to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. They sit one game above the 2-1 Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South standings, and their eyes are on their first divisional crown since 2013.
