This year has felt like an eternity for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who allowed the season to fall of the rails. This year has felt like an eternity for the Jacksonville Jaguars, who allowed the season to fall of the rails. Which has most of the fan base already looking elsewhere for something positive.

For weeks, that positive was the fact that the Jaguars had a strong hold on the number one overall pick. But in Week 14, they pulled off the win over the Tennessee Titans., which knocked them down the current project of the 2025 NFL Draft order.

While they don't own the first overall pick, the Jaguars still landed a dynamic talent that some view as the best overall prospect in the class in a new A to Z Sports mock draft

"Truthfully, the Jaguars could go with a different Michigan player here, but I'm pretty concerned about their secondary. Rookie Jarrian Jones has been a quality slot corner, but their play on the outside has largely been disappointing. Tyson Campbell has struggled to stay healthy and Ronald Darby is a free agent after next season.

Will Johnson is an elite playmaker in his own right. While I'm not sure what Jacksonville's scheme will be next year, Johnson fits into any scheme and would improve the secondary in a big way."

New A to Z Sports mock draft

Like the Jaguars, the Michigan Wolverines have had a season to forget. Just a year removed from winning the College Football national championship, they now finished barely above .500 and crawled their way to bowl eligibility. Though they were already struggling early in the season, the team suffered a massive blow as the season went on, with star cornerback Will Johnson having to miss significant time with a foot injury.

Injuries impact prospects draft stock every season, but I don't think it will end up hurting Michigan's star cornerback, Will Johnson. Johsnon is viewed as the clear top CB, and one of the best overall player in the upcoming draft class. The Jaguars desperately need to add impactful players to their struggling secondary, and they should be ecstatic if Johnson is on the board when they become "on the clock."
