Because of the Jacksonville Jaguars' inability to make the right decision earlier in the offseason, and that decision being to move on from Trent Baalke, the former general manager, they suffered a loss when it came to being considered early by head coaching candidates. Now they are without a general manager but have their entire coaching staff filled out.

They hired Liam Coen, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator, as head coach when the team fired Baalke. Coen has already put together a pretty good staff with lots of young but still some good experience. Now it's about finding that general manager, which they are currently searching for as we speak.

The Jaguars hired Hall of Famer, and the only Jaguars Hall of Famer (Fred Taylor should also be), Tony Boselli to be the Executive Vice President of Football Operations. In other words, he is hired to find a GM, and until they have one, he is handling everything that the head coach doesn't handle.

On Monday, the day after we witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles beat down the Kansas City Chiefs, the Jaguars posted a tweet about some roster moves they had made. They were able to make moves without a general manager, and only a few hours into the 2025 offseason.

Here is what the Jaguars' PR team tweeted:

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed the following players to reserve/future contracts, the team announced today. TE Shawn Bowman, CB Christian Braswell, WR Joshua Cephus, OL Dennis Daley, OL Dieter Eiselen, CB Zech McPhearson, and WR Austin Trammell.

You may recognize some of these names from last season. That's because they have signed those players to future and reserve deals, where they can reserve the players for next season.

The Jaguars are already getting off to a hot start with their offseason. However, they still have to find a general manager.
