The Jacksonville Jaguars are entering in yet another regime of coaches and a new general manager. That's not something to brag about, and if they want to be considered one of those top franchises in the league, they have to start putting together consistent winning seasons. That's why 2025 is so key.

The 2025 season is going to be the foundation for what's to come for this franchise. If 2025 goes well, and I don't mean they win some playoff games or anything crazy, but if they can get a winning season in year one, the Jaguars are going to be set up for success for years to come with this staff.

If they want that first year to be a good one though, it's going to start on the defensive side of the ball. The defense is where the money will be made. And with new defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile calling the shots and telling it how it is, it sounds like the defense is going to be a "take no prisoners" approach.

"We know what we're going to do from a schematic perspective," Campanile said. "The most important thing to us, though, is our play style, that we are violent at the point of attack, we have guys that believe in not being blocked, guys that run to the ball, and we have guys that finish at the point of attack every rep.

"I can't wait to get that culture in place… I just think the old adage, talk is cheap, and that definitely applies here. It applies in football… they are going to get my best effort and they're going to get the best effort out of all the coaches."

The Jaguars have the pieces to have a great defense. They have guys like Joshua Hines-Allen, Travon Walker, Tyson Campbell, Andre Cisco, and so many others who are really, really good football players.

This defense has all the potential in the world, now they just have to put it all together and let the coaches lead them in the right direction. It also all starts with the division. If the Jaguars can't find a way to beat out the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, or the Houston Texans, then none of it really matters anyway.
