KC Chiefs TE Travis Kelce paired with golf stars Scottie Scheffler, Brooks Koepka in WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is playing golf with some of the game’s biggest stars in Phoenix on Wednesday.
Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce dropped out of the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games. There was plenty of speculation about the why, including rumors regarding his wedding to pop star Taylor Swift.
In reality, Kelce had a prior engagement that brought him together with some of the world’s biggest golf stars.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce plays in WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am on Wednesday
On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Kelce is set to get his golf game on, participating in the WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am. There, he’ll be paired with Scottie Scheffler on the front nine and Brooks Koepka on the back nine. The 29-year-old Scheffler is ranked No. 1 statistically in the world golf ranking, while Koepka is a former No. 1-ranked golfer who has won five major championships.
Here’s a quick description of the WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am:
“Each year, the Annexus Pro-Am transforms TPC Scottsdale into a must-see showcase where PGA TOUR stars share the fairways with championship athletes, entertainers, and cultural icons. The 2026 edition is no different, bringing together a lineup that spans Super Bowl champions, Olympic legends, MLB All-Stars, and fan-favorite personalities — all teeing it up alongside some of the best golfers in the world.”
Kelce, of course, was met with a thunderous (for golf) applause when he teed off on the first hole.
Other athlete participants in the WM Phoenix Open Pro-Am include Trey McBride, Budda Baker, Zaven Collins, Larry Fitzgerald Jr., Emmitt Smith, Mookie Betts, Alex Bregman, Cal Raleigh, Merrill Kelly, Michael Phelps, and Carli Lloyd.
Kelce is no stranger to celebrity golf events, often participating in the American Century Championship alongside Patrick Mahomes. What’s the offseason if not for teeing it up with celebrities and golf stars?
There’s no broadcast of this particular Pro-Am event, which seems like a missed opportunity. However, you can rest assured that more clips of Kelce will be posted on social media, and some highlights will air on the Golf Channel.
