CeeDee Lamb and Hollywood Brown just couldn't help themselves. They had to add fuel to an already blazing fire.

The duo, who played together at Oklahoma, changed their banners on X, formerly know as Twitter, to photos of their time playing together.

Could they possibly be suggesting a reunion?

It's no surprise that CeeDee Lamb isn't the happiest in Dallas right now due to the ongoing contract disputes. And Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't make anything better.

So let's get into how everything started on Thursday night.

One account posted a quote from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones speaking about the contract situation.

"I don't have any urgency to get it done," Jones reportedly said.

And Lamb couldn't help but comment back.

"lol," he wrote in response.

After that, fans noticed that Lamb took out "America's Team" from his bio on X, formerly known as Twitter.

All of this is not a good sign for the Cowboys, and it doesn't appear that Lamb will be staying in Dallas for much longer. Especially if he continues to hold out, the team might be forced to explore a trade.

And based on this, it seems that Lamb might be interested in reuniting with a former teammate. Clearly Brown isn't upset about that either.

Cowboys recently made a new offer to CeeDee Lamb

On July 27th, the Cowboys revealed they had just sent a new contract offer to the wide receiver and many expected things to ramp up before the preseason. With a deal between the Minnesota Vikings and Justin Jefferson already in place, one would've assumed it would be an easy process between the two sides but if any momentum has been gained, it sure has been pretty silent and has happened behind the scenes.

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott chimes in on CeeDee Lamb's apparent jab at Jerry Jones

Naturally, the Cowboys quarterback who's also seeking a contract extension faced questions on the entire thing after practice. Prescott was shown Lamb's tweet, per Patrik Walker from DallasCowboys.com and immediately stated before a chuckle: "I got urgency, I definitely got urgency."

Per Walker, Prescott was later explained that Jones did say they were "getting great work" with Lamb and "not losing a step" in negotiations, to which Prescott responded: "Oh, OK well, (tweet him back) and tell him (we're) on his side. You'll get your money."

Prescott and Lamb are in similar yet different positions, as the quarterback's future deal (in Dallas or elsewhere) is set to be unprecedented as a player at the highest-paid position in the game with a golden ticket to 2025 free agency.

Lamb, in contrast, will likely sign a deal almost identical to that of Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings. Because of this and the overall size of the potential contract as well as potential franchise tags the Cowboys could use down the road, there's much higher optimism around a potential extension for Lamb than there is for Dak.
